Family Pictures

Usually family pictures can be a chore!! But,.... this time was great. The kids ran around while I took others pictures and they were cooperative (for the most part) during family pictures and other group pics. It almost makes me want to do it again. (almost!) But, hey I think they turned out. Minus the fact that I am biased and think my family is beautiful, handsome, cute, darling, lovely, and MINE!

Wickedly Devine

WOW!! We have had a busy month!! So, from the looks of the pictures (Which are CUTE !!) We have been celebrating Britney(my cousin)& Kevin's marriage. And Michele (my cousin)& Zach's wedding.Michele tied the not on August 1st and Britney tied the not on August 15th. We of course went to the wedding's than the luncheon/reception afterwards. We had a wonderful time!! It is fun when family gets together. We had family come from California for Britney's wedding we had cousins staying at our house. (Not much sleep going on though!! HEHEHE! Need I mention making funnel cake at midnight! yummy !!)
The next week was busy!! the 1st day of school was Wednesday the 19th. Also, more marriage 'stuff''.Brian and I traveled to California to be there for the Open House in Central California. We delicated our kids out to wonderful people so we could go. We left Thursday morning after getting kids of to school and droping Jordan off at my brothers. Friday was the open house. Do you see the pictures of people doing yard work... That was the morning of the Open house. We raked and planted flowers and raked more (dumb leaves!!) Made wild flower arrangement's for table center peaces. There was cleaning inside and Power washing EVERYTHING outside. (Thank you stud muffin!!) The Open House was wonderful!! Towards the end a few of the teenagers decided that jumping in the pool in there formal attire was the thing to do. I don't have a picture of that but..... you've seen it in movies and its funny in real life also. After the party was opening presents (Bride & Groom) and clean-up. And eating the left overs from the yummy caterers. (Seriously I cant resist somethings-- mainly little yummy deserts, ex. cheesecake, lemon bars, pumpkin cake etc...) So, bed time came and I was more than willing to SLEEP!

Next day .... Among other things going on, I'll get to the point of Saturday. WICKED!!!
We left for San Fransisco about 3pm. Good thing to!! Wicked started at 8pm so we thought we would have time to walk around and 'stuff'. Anyway, we were on the freeway and it took us 1 1/2 hours to go 8 miles. So,... who knew there was a Raiders game in Oakland that day..... Not Me! So, good thing we left early because we arrived just in time. Some of the family that came with us didn't have tickets and were going to try for the raffle tickets (left over single seats that didn't sale). But, we missed it. We were able to get a single seat for my sister Ramona though from someone who had an extra ticket.(Thanks for barging the price Brian.) Wicked was amazing to say the least !!! The story line is so creative and the working in of Dorthy and everything was fabulous!! The songs were amazing and it had plenty of comical points, tender points and a wonderful ending! I cant wait to see it again. ( O yes, I will see it again. I don't know when but I will!!!) I love that I have a hubby who enjoys going to such things as plays and he is wonderful. He also drove the whole way there and back again. He also endured listening to a "Chick-flick" on the way home. So, for all his goodness he was able to go to Depech Mode on Tuesday night. So, I ask him Which performance was better ....... he said (with a little laugh) "Wicked dear".. I love him!!!

Wow, about time for update.. ... So, I thought I would fill you in on the going on's of the Snows.

Kassidy and I went to girls camp and had a lot of fun! I went on the 4th year over night hike this year and tried rolling down the mountain with my pack on. (I think I was entertainment for A LOT of Young Women). I was completely embarrassed and stood and took a bow. (So, sorry, no picture for that. I do wish I had one though!)

2 weeks after Camp was Youth Conference. We went to a local collage and "played"! It was 3 days and a lot of fun. They had great balance of spiritual and fun. It was a stake Youth Conference and we combined with a stake from Idaho, so.... TONS of youth!!! We had Jon Bytheway as a youth motivational speaker. He was amazing. He motivated me!!! The dance was fun for all. The leaders (well, in our ward) totally participated in this. You know "group dancing" in a circle or jumping to the beat in the middle of the dance. Yep, I thought I was a teenager again and Kassidy thought her mom had lost it!! (true story) There were a ton of other things, "workshops", testimony meeting, Aggie games (ex. steel the flag, dodge ball, etc..) We stayed in OLD dorms and ate at the cafeteria. Had a formal night (dinner, speaker, dance).

Now we are in full mode of ....... you would think back to school right... Well, no, we have family in town from California for a wedding. We are playing and have cousins over to our house. Next week (you know the week school starts) We will be in back to school mode ! ... Except that on Thursday Brian and I leave for California for reception (we are driving my cousins (aka sisters of the bride) home for the reception. So, as a side bonus (HEHEHEH) WE ARE GOING TO WICKED in San Fransisco !!! YEA !!!!

We have reached the end of baseball (for this year). Austin's team was done for the season a couple of weeks ago, in fact, his last game was while he was plying in the dirt a 'Camp Big Springs' having the time of his life. (You know, zip line, water, no mom.... need I say more...) He came home SO DIRTY !!!! All I could see was his big smile when we picked him up. If it wasn't for that, I might not have recognized him.

The same day Austin left for camp Kassidy left for California. She stayed with my Aunt and played for 2 weeks. Some of her activities were: Swimming with cute boys (Cousins friends) water skiing with different cousin and her friends, shopping, going to San Fransisco to see Wicked, and first airplane flight home. (Yea, I know tuff life right!)

Now, back to baseball. I know I get side tracked very easily. Okay, Yesterday was Dallin's last game. For the last 3 days they have had 2 games a day. So, last game they made it to State and were playing for 1st or 2nd place. The poor boys were tuckered out and couldnt pull off the last game. So, for the whole season they only lost 2 games. And took 2nd place in State!!! AWESOME!!

My goodness we have been a busy family!!!

1st off, Baseball, Baseball, Baseball!!! This has become our lives!!! Austin and Dallin play and everyday we have practice for one and a game for the other (switching off of course.) Anyway, at least they play at a park were Brooklyn and Jordan can enjoy slides and swings and new friends. Brian is even the assistant coach to Austins team. So, busy busy!!

Also this summer we had a quick trip to St. George. We went to visit friends Emily and Dave. We are so lucky to know them. I learned a new game called 'Phase 10' and for all of you who know what that game is, I had seriously never played before. So, I really like it. As accustom to our St.George visits we went on a hike. This time we visited Kolob Canyon. IT WAS AMAZING!!! We did a 5.5 round trip hike on the double arch trail. The trail follows the river so for A LOT of the walk the kids walked in the river. (It barley covered there feet) There were little lizards everywhere and butterfly's.
But, before St. George we a graduate in our family. I'm the proud mom of a daughter moving on from Jr. High to High School (I know I know I don't look old enough!!! RIGHT !?)

Because Brian was fixing the fuel pump on the Yukon my mom (aka Grandma Porter) and I were the ones to attend Kassidy's Graduation. Afterwards we went to get a yummy treat ....Magelbys Chocolate Cake !

Since this is a long post I better mention our Memorial Day. It was very easy actually! We went to my parents for a BBQ. The kids ran around EVERYWHERE and had a blast.

Okay, that's it (I think).

Busy Saturday

This past Saturday we ventured of to Wyoming. My cousin was married and we wanted to attend the reception. Well, Satruday was Austin's Birthday and Sunday was my Mom's Birthday. So,while at the park Brian and I ran for Pizza and picked up a cake for Austin and 'Grandma'. The kids had a blast running around throwing sand going down (and up) the slide. They also put sand down the slide. So, when my brother Darin went down the slide (hehehe), well lets just say you should have seen the butt of his pants! Anyway, the kids (all of them, Darin had his 5 kids also) were crazy excited to go to the reception. Rebecca (my sister) her little boy was crazy tiered!!!! Poor kid! You would think that after running (and I do mean running) around at the park the kids would be a bit more calm and less restless. Well, apparently not. My kids were so excited to see other cousins and family that I really didn't see them much but when I did it was always a reminder that we were still in a church and should not run! As you can see in the Pictures, the bride and groom were so cute. We are so happy for them. I love it when my cousins Mary and add to the growing extended family. It makes family reunions a blast ! Some of the pictures as you can tell are from the park some are from the reception some are Austin's birthday. And , the one of Kassidy who apparently likes to take pictures of herself. The one on the bottom right is my fabulous husband who puts up with me and my craziness!

Happy Mothers Day !!

What could be better than to have a cute little 6 year old come and give you a hug and card and tell you "Happy Mother's Day".
Everything went along as a normal Sunday. After church I did make everyone stop and smile for a picture. (Say Cheese!). I must say my kids are so cute and adorable!!!!!!!!!!! We went to visit Brian's Mom and Step Mom on Saturday so there was just my mom on Sunday. And since it was a very nice day we thought we would go for our 1st family bike ride for the summer. This would be Brooklyn and Jordan's first attempt at riding all the way to Grandmas house. Which is about 4 1/2 miles. Jordan taught himself to ride about a month ago and he is only 3. He thought it was a great ride. For our efforts On the way home the older kids wanted to ride through some water that had flooded the bike trail that goes under the road. Brian convinced Jordan that he wanted to do this also. The water was about a foot deep and cold. Brooklyn and I crossed the road and came to the other side to watch. The older kids were happy and thought that going through the water was great. Jordan stopped and the edge of the water (on the other side) hesitating his descent into the water. Brian road back to encourage him. Once he started going across I was worried that he would stop and than tip over in the water bringing on tears and one cold little 3 year old. So I kept telling him to peddle , peddle , peddle...etc. Well, he made it and declared that he didn't like it and didn't want to do it again. After arriving home, Brooklyn laid down on the couch and was asleep with in 15 minutes. I laid down with Jordan and he was out quicker than I could get to comfortable.
